Project Computer Corner in Uganda

An student from Uganda living in Austria will return to his home country after finishing his studies. He plans to install a Training Centre for Professional Computer Qualification at the Mukono District in Uganda.

The electronic revolution has arrived in Uganda, but there are training-possibilities and trainers needed, especially on the countryside. A Computer Training Centre in another city than the capital, like this planned one in Mukono, will offer for many people without a job a great chance for further education and new business perspectives.

Financal Support is given by the VIDC, realisation of the project through the Uganda Project-group Ribe.

Since the means weren't sufficiant for the completion of the school building and the purchase of the technical equipment as well, VUM was asked for help: to acquire computers and equipment, install them in Uganda and make some first trainings.
