Project Benin II

The 1st worldwide conference of Kings, Queens, Religious Leaders & Peace Loving People...

...in August 1999 has decided on the Challenging Project of the 21st Century to recognize the resources and the riches of Africa.

17.10.2000: The “Refuse Poverty” Day (refus de la misère), the decision was made to strongly support the project
“Allow the women to save Benin”.
The strength of women is a possibility to develop new social structures to fight against poverty from another corner. Any women who becomes educated, leaves being illiterate and enters the world of modern technologies, is one more fighter in the own country to reduce by hard work the self-concerning poverty.

According to this there should be founded 5000 communication centres until the year 2006. On the 17.10.2001 there existed already 606 communication centres, finished or nearly finished. The centres located in larger cities, which are fitted with electricity and telephone should be equipped with computers.

Further plans are to install 10 computers at the centre of the NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) “Africa Cultures” to train mainly women and juveniles to enable them to contribute to the development of Benin.

4 more computers will be located at 4 further NGO's to coordinate the centres of communication.

Because of her engagement at the conference as well as in the African Mystic of Yoruba, named IFA, Fagbemissi - Käte Regalado-Ölkrug has got good contacts to people working on the projects. The main interests during her journeys to Africa twice a year are the themes “Igbale Aiyé” and “Refus de la Misère”. Fagbemissi has introduced the Benin-Project to VUM.

The first planned step is:
To send 5 to 7 computers to Vizir OlofinII, Olofinji Akandé President of Pananfrica in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, to start with the trainings, that should also concern the technical resort.
