The association for the support of people...

...was founded 1998 as a legal base for the project "Computer for Togo".
Because of it's large success, now the following are in development.
Our objective is networking and the exchange of interhuman and cultural ideas between Africa and Europe - into both directions.
As a medium we use computers - which at the moment most of us have at home - and the constantly growing Internet and all its possibilities.
Though computing becomes more and more normal to European people, most Africans don't have access to this superb comunication tool.
This is where we want to do something: We want to give at least the technical possibility to our African friends so that they can get in contact with us. Therefore we collect used (but usable) computers here in Austria, and get them to Africa. Additionally our computer coaches accompany the projects into the selected areas and show the people how to handle these "new" technologies.
Our work is not "development assistance" ! On the contrary - we see ourselves as an exchange program.
From close co-operation with Africans, there is a network being formed, and in the network all who are involved will benefit. We do not only exchange technical tools - we also exchange ideas. We understand our projects as living (and lived) interculturality.
